About Us
My name is Christina Haas. My parents were Jackie and Charlie Haas. As you can tell from the Bit of History, our family was involved with Drum Corps for many years. My father spent a great deal of time and effort between 1992 and 2005 converting the old reel-to-reel tapes to VHS and then, to DVD. When my parents started video taping Drum Corps, it was not with the intention of selling the performances later but rather, to assist the corps' they were working with at the time. Around 1974 our lives took a different direction and for a period of time we were not involved with the activity. Then, in 1992, my sister and I became marching members with the New York Skyliners and around that same time, my father began working on the conversion of the tapes to VHS format. I was with the Skyliners for five seasons with 1996 being my last.
When he converted the reel-to-reel tapes to VHS, my father made an effort to make the video tapes he had available for sale to the public. For several years he was able to offer the performances in VHS format. However, VHS tapes wear out over time and the constant use of the master tapes became a concern. My father suspended sales until he was able to covert everything to DVD. In 2005 he completed the conversion to DVD and turned over all rights over to me so that I may continue to allow the Drum Corps community to purchase a piece of unique history.
